For Live-Edge Wood Slabs, Surfaces, Crack and Void Filling

Quick Set Epoxy is a fast curing and penetrating wood resin sealer for wood and concrete to prevent the release of air bubbles and off gassing. It’s the perfect solution for anyone seeking a fast-drying, high-quality seal coat epoxy system. Moreover, its fast 2–3-hour cure time enables quick work on your projects!

Time is money! There’s no need to wait 24 hours in between sealing anymore! Our fast-setting resin for live-edge wood slabs and surfaces cures super quick! This allows wood shops and DIY enthusiasts to keep on track, and on schedule churning out epoxy projects and earning more profits!

We do not offer samples of our products. Why not?

Due to DOT regulations, epoxy MUST ship ground. Expedited shipping is not possible.

CAUTION! Only mix as much as needed in small batches. This quick setting epoxy has a very short pot life and unused epoxy will begin to overheat within 10-12 minutes when left in mixing containers. Do not allow extra unused epoxy to sit! Pour all unused epoxy onto a scrap piece of wood or piece of cardboard in a thin layer to prevent overheating.

Formulated from the same raw materials as our Deep Pour 2 inch single pour epoxy and super gloss Bar and Table Top Epoxy, it matches seamlessly and bonds flawlessly. Quick Coat Seal can also fill small cracks and voids before flood coat resin application to prevent surface bubbles for a smoother topcoat.

FDA Food Safe Compliant(CFR 175.300 - Code of Federal Regulations Title 21)

Let harden 2-3 hours before sanding cracks and voids. Porous substrates may need additional applications.

This 1:1 ratio kit includes 1 pint of A Resin and 1 pint of B Hardener of our fast setting wood epoxy. It has a 10-12 minute pot life and approximately a 15 minute work time. Don’t dilly-dally!

INSTRUCTIONS

Warning: Short pot life, DO NOT mix more than needed at a time or risk overheating if left in mass too long. This 1:1 ratio kit includes 1 pint of A Resin and 1 pint of B Hardener of our fast setting wood epoxy. It has a 10-12 minute pot life and approximately a 15 minute work time. The pot life time will be shortened in warmer environments and lengthened in cooler environments. Don’t dilly-dally!

For the best results: We recommend applying 2-3 coats with a brush or roller depending on the application. Let harden 2-3 hours before sanding cracks and voids. Porous substrates may need additional applications.

Surface Prep: All wood surfaces must be clean and free of oil or dust before applying. Remove any grease or oil with acetone. A wire brush may be helpful to clean live-edge crevasses and wood grain.

Mixing: Before using the Epoxy Sealer Quick Set, it’s imperative to mix Parts A and B in the precise 1:1 ratio. Pour and combine exactly 1 part of A with 1 part of B by volume in a clear container with measurements printed on the outside. Mix for 3 minutes with a mixing stick. Mix evenly while scraping the edges and bottom of your container. Try not to whip too much air into the mixture.

Application: After mixing, pour or brush the resin on the live edge and immediately brush until complete application. For flat surfaces, the WiseBond® Epoxy Spreader works exceptionally well!

Brush on live-edges with a small brush similar to a glue brush. (Do not use a foam brush as it may introduce small air bubbles during application.) Brush on a thin coat and repeat 2-3 more times depending on porosity of the wood or surface material. Allow to preferably cure tacky before applying additional seal coats. Let dry for 1 to 1-1/2 hours – hard to the touch - before pouring our WiseBond® Deep Pour epoxy. A fan or a heat gun may be used to speed up the dry time, if necessary.

Do not add any extra solvents or agents to the mixture to try and encourage a quicker cure. Quick Set Seal epoxy is not designed to accept these and you will end up with an epoxy resin that may not cure at all.

NOTE: WiseBond® Epoxies are 100% solids and VOC-Free. Once epoxy is mixed properly according to the instructions and fully cured for 30 days, it is an inert plastic. It is not antimicrobial. Epoxy is not safe to ingest (liquid or cured). Do not cut on or prepare raw food on epoxy surfaces.

Epoxy can and will melt when exposed to a flame and can catch fire. Always keep away from heat and open flames. When exposed to higher temperatures, a maximum of 120F (50C) should be adhered to at all times.
